Abstract
La irrigación en el tratamiento endodóntico representa una etapa esencial parala limpieza y desinfección del sistema de conductos radiculares, siendo determinante para el éxito clínico del procedimiento. La anatomía interna de los dientes, particularmente compleja en molares mandibulares, presenta irregularidades como istmos, deltas apicales y conductos laterales, que limitan la eficacia de la fase de instrumentación y de los sistemas de irrigación tradicionales que no siempre logran acceder a estas áreas críticas y eliminar por completo las bacterias, restos pulpares y barrillo dentinario. Estas características anatómicas complejas pueden hacer fracasar un tratamiento de conductos, con tasas de persistencia de infección que alcanzan el 9%.Por ello, la investigación en torno a la optimización de las técnicas de irrigación y su capacidad para superar dichas limitaciones resulta imprescindible...

The internal anatomy of teeth, particularly complex in mandibular molars, often includes irregularities such as isthmuses, apical deltas and lateral canals, which limit the effectiveness of both instrumentation and traditional irrigation systems. These techniques frequently fail to access critical areas and fully eliminate bacteria, pulpremnants and dentinal debris.
