Abstract
This article outlines the results obtained during the first study of the Chaparral site (Villaluenga del Rosario, Cádiz, Spain) situated in the karst area of the Sierra de Grazalema. The varied macro- and micro-vertebrate fauna include carnivores, herbivores and rodents, as well as reptiles and amphibians, suggesting an Early Pleistocene age. The taphonomic study of the fauna discovered on the site is underway.
