Abstract
Prospections of Pleistocene fluvial deposits aimed to the finding of industries in stratigraphic position have been carried, in the last years, in the sector of the river Tajo middle basin comprised from the river Algodor mouth to Puente del Arzobispo village. The results obtained from the valleys of the Tajo (Talavera de la Reina area), Pusa y Sangrera rivers and from some of their tributary streams, as well as an assessment of such results, are displayed in this article. It is remarkable the human occupation traces recorded in the period of time comprising the formation of the +105 m and +50 m terraces of the river Tajo, inclusive. Likewise it is worth noticing the confirmation of the archaeological character of La Casa del Guardia site, containing fauna and industry in situ, associated with the +30 m terrace of the Lientes stream, tributary of the river Tajo, and located in the south of Talavera de la Reina.
