Las portadas de libros, un espacio para la adoración de la Eucaristía

Abstract

En este artículo nos hemos centrado en el estudio de un conjunto de portadas de libros españoles de la primera mitad del siglo XVII, que tiene por motivo principal la Eucaristía, y más concretamente la adoración de las especies eucarísticas, por ser ellas el verdadero cuerpo y la verdadera sangre de Cristo. Siguiendo, por tanto, lo establecido en el Concilio de Trento respecto al Santísimo Sacramento

In this article we are focused on the study of a set of book's covers of the first half of XVII century, what have as main motivation the Eucarist, and more specifically the adoration of the Eucaristic species, for being them the true body and the true blood of Christ. Following, therefore, the established in the Council of Trent about the Holy Sacrament.
