Abstract
El objetivo de esta tesis doctoral fue comparar la calidad de vida y satisfacción general con tratamientos de endodoncia e implantes en pacientes que han recibido ambos tipos de tratamiento, habiendo sido realizados por odontólogos expertos. Los concentrados plaquetarios autólogos se pueden clasificar en plasmas ricos en pla-quetas (PRPs) y fibrinas ricas en plaquetas (PRFs), con leucocitos (L-PRP, L-PRF) o sinleucocitos (P-PRP). Se componen de plaquetas, que liberan factores de crecimiento y una matriz de fibrina cuya estructura y composición depende del modo de preparación y puede repercutir sobre la liberación de proteínas. La eficacia como coadyuvantes de la cicatri-zación de tejidos blandos ha sido ampliamente demostrada en muchos campos de la Me-dicina, pero su efecto en hueso es controvertido...
The aim of this thesis was to compare long-term oral health related quality of life and patients' general satisfaction with root canal treatment and dental implants of patients that have received both treatment options performed by experienced practitioners. Autologous platelet concentrates can be classified into platelet-rich plasmas (PRPs)and platelet-rich fibrins (PRFs), with leukocytes (L-PRP, L-PRF) or without leukocytes (P-PRP). They are composed of platelets, which release growth factors and a fibrin matrixwhose structure and composition depends on the mode of preparation and may have animpact on protein release.
