El cine como pensamiento, representación y construcción de la realidad, educación y cambio social

Abstract

En los últimos años el panorama audiovisual ha sufrido grandes cambios. Por un lado han surgido nuevos canales y formatos que ahora conviven y compiten con los anteriores. Por otro el papel del espectador ha evolucionado, ya no es un sujeto pasivo receptor de mensajes y contenidos, sino que ahora puede ser también emisor y creador de tendencias.Esta tesis tiene como objeto central de estudio el cine y cómo se ha visto afectado por estas nuevas reglas del paradigma audiovisual. La investigación se afronta desde cuatro perspectivas diferentes. En primer lugar el cine como generador de pensamiento, en qué medida es capaz de trasmitir ideas o conceptos y qué mecanismos utiliza para ello. En segundo lugar la capacidad del cine de representar la realidad y de construir nuevas realidades. Se plantea cuál es su relación con la propia realidad, si la muestra bajo una perspectiva objetiva o subjetiva, y cómo ello puede a su vez afectar a la vida y construir nuevas realidades...

In recent years the media landscape has suffered major changes. On one side new channels and formats have emerged that coexist and compete with the existing ones. On the other, the role of the audience has evolved, it is no longer a passive receiver of messages and content, but now it can be also be issuer and trendsetter.This thesis has as the central objective the study of cinema and how it has been affected by these new rules of the audiovisual paradigm. The research is confronted from four different perspectives. First of all cinema as a generator of thought, to what extent it is capable of transmitting ideas or concepts and what mechanisms are used. Secondly the ability of cinema to represent reality and to construct new realities. It exposes what is its relation in regards to reality, if it is shown under an objective or subjective perspective, and how this can affect life and construct new realities...
