Abstract
This project focuses on the design and implementation of an application that enables No-Limit Texas Hold’em games to be played by both human players and bots. The primary objective of the project is to develop a platform in which bots can be integrated into poker games as easily and extensibly as possible, regardless of the artificial intelligence model chosen for their implementation. In this way, the application serves as a valuable tool for the development and evaluation of new artificial intelligence technologies in imperfect-information games such as poker. The project includes a description of the theoretical and technological foundations that define the context in which it is developed. It then provides a detailed discussion of the design and implementation of the application created to achieve the project’s main objective. Furthermore, an empirical study has been conducted in which the different implemented bots compete across multiple scenarios. The purpose of this study is to make use of the infrastructure developed to evaluate bot behaviour, assess the application’s ability to support this type of experimentation, and provide an objective basis for analyzing the bots decision-making processes and overall performance.
