Abstract
Este estudio explora la integración de ChatGPT en la educación artística, específicamente para analizar críticamente el texto “Arte en la edad del pavo” de Elena Vozmediano (2009) con estudiantes de Bellas Artes. El objetivo es evaluar la eficacia de ChatGPT como herramienta de apoyo en la realización de un trabajo de análisis del texto crítico de arte, con el fin de comprender cómo un grupo de estudiantes percibe y utiliza esta tecnología en su proceso de aprendizaje. El estudio se desarrolla desde un enfoque mixto con predominancia cualitativa para el análisis de los datos. En la fase cualitativa, se emplea el método de Modelado de Temas (Topic Modelling) (Oussalah, 2021) para analizar las respuestas obtenidas en el cuestionario basado en preguntas estructuradas. Los resultados indican una valoración mayormente positiva de ChatGPT como herramienta de apoyo, aunque algunos estudiantes experimentaron dificultades. Este enfoque mixto permite capturar tanto la profundidad de las experiencias individuales como patrones generales en la percepción del uso de esta tecnología en el contexto educativo de las artes visuales.
Abstract: This study explores the integration of ChatGPT in art education, specifically to critically analyse the text Art in the Awkward Age by Elena Vozmediano (2009) with Fine Arts students. The aim is to evaluate the effectiveness of ChatGPT as a support tool in conducting an analysis of an art criticism text, seeking to understand how a group of students perceives and uses this technology in their learning process. The study is conducted with a mixed-methods approach, predominantly qualitative for data analysis. In the qualitative phase, the Topic Modelling method (Oussalah, 2021) is used to analyse responses obtained from a questionnaire based on structured questions. The findings indicate a largely positive evaluation of ChatGPT as a support tool, although some students experienced difficulties. This mixed-methods approach allows for capturing both the depth of individual experiences and general patterns in the perception of this technology’s use in the educational context of visual arts.
