El desarrollo de las relaciones entre México y la Unión Europea desde el año 2006 hasta 2023

Abstract

La tesis doctoral se llama “El desarrollo de las relaciones entre México y la Unión Europea desde el año 2006 hasta 2023”. Esta investigación presenta un marco temporal desde la llegada del presidente Felipe Calderón (el 1 de diciembre de 2006) hasta 2023.La Unión Europea es un socio de gran importancia para México. Los objetivos de la política exterior mexicana hacia Europa consistieron esencialmente en mejorar la imagen del país, en promover las reformas estructurales del Pacto por México para atraer inversión extranjera, fomentar mayor intercambio comercial y fortalecer las relaciones bilaterales más allá de Madrid y Bruselas, poniendo énfasis en otros Estados como Francia, Alemania, Reino Unido, Italia y los países nórdicos. Con la UE se buscó la “modernización” del Acuerdo Global para no quedar fuera de la reorganización de las relaciones económicas que estaban negociándose entre la propia UE y América del Norte. Y ahora estamos esperado en cuanto salga la edición nueva del Acuerdo Global para que México y la UE aproveche la cooperación. Los tres presidentes mexicanos elegidos para esta investigación, Calderón, Peña Nieto y López Obrador, intentaron y están intentando de algún modo diversificar política exterior de su país. La tesis muestra que México intenta salir de la dependencia norteamericana y la Unión Europea puede ser en un futuro próximo un socio estratégico y principal para México y de esa forma equilibrar el peso de los Estados Unidos...

The doctoral thesis is called “The development of relations between Mexico and the European Union from 2006 to 2023”. This research presents a period from the arrival of President Felipe Calderón (December 1, 2006) until 2023.The European Union is a partner of great importance for Mexico. The objectives of Mexican foreign policy towards Europe consisted essentially of improving the country's image, promoting the structural reforms of the Pact for Mexico to attract foreign investment, promoting greater commercial exchange and strengthening bilateral relations beyond Madrid and Brussels, placing emphasis in other States such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and the Nordic countries.
