ReciclaTE: Herramienta para fomentar el reciclaje entre la comunidad universitaria de la UCM

Abstract

En busca de promover una iniciativa sostenible, la universidad propone como tema para este Trabajo de Fin de Grado una aplicación dirigida a la comunidad universitaria que promueva el reciclaje. Es aquí cuando surge la idea de ReciclaTE. Esta aplicación busca conseguir este objetivo pero por un camino que pueda resultar más divertido a los estudiantes. ReciclaTE mezcla características de una red social, ya que permite crear grupos y tener amigos dentro de la aplicación, con el cumplimiento de retos a nivel personal y a nivel grupal. Esto lo hace, por un lado, con un álbum de residuos a completar por el usuario, en el que el usuario podrá sacar una foto del residuo y completarlo, lo que le proporcionará puntos dentro de la aplicación. Al mismo tiempo existirán retos globales y grupales; de esta manera se promueve que el usuario explote las características sociales de la aplicación al mismo tiempo que completa los objetivos. Con los puntos conseguidos se establece un ranking tanto a nivel global de la aplicación como a nivel de grupo. Y, por último, se podrán obtener puntos canjeables por premios en la tienda que posee la aplicación.In order to promote a sustainable initiative, the university has proposed a theme for this final degree project: an application aimed at the university community that promotes recycling. This is where the idea for ReciclaTE came from. This application seeks to achieve this goal in a way that is more fun for students. ReciclaTE combines features of a social network, as it allows users to create groups and have friends within the application, with the completion of challenges at a personal and group level. It does this, on the one hand, with a waste album to be completed by the user, in which the user can take a photo of the waste and complete it, which will earn them points within the application. At the same time, there will be global and group challenges, encouraging users to exploit the social features of the application while completing their objectives. There is also a ranking system. The points earned are used to establish a ranking both at the global level of the application and at the group level. Finally, points can be exchanged for prizes in the application’s store.
