Abstract

Se trata de una monografía que aborda los “puntos ciegos” de la fotografía y las “miradas afiladas”, es decir, aquellas estrategias que permiten reinterpretarlas y releer las imágenes. Frente al control hegemónico de la fotografía que ejercen los poderes neoliberales los autores de este libro muestran cómo diversos fotógrafos, creadores y artistas se posicionan para ofrecer nuevo significado a la fotografía. En un mundo dominado por la multiplicidad de la imagen, los autores de esta monografía no se posicionan como apocalípticos, sino como auténticos inspiradores que invitan a parar y contemplar con mirada atenta las fotografías.

This book is about the “blind spots” of photography and the “sharp gazes,” that is, ways to reinterpret and resee images. Against the dominant control of photography by neoliberal powers, the authors of this book show how different photographers, creators, and artists position themselves to give new meaning to photography. In a world full of images, the authors of this book do not present themselves as pessimists, but as true inspirers who invite us to pause and look at photographs attentively
