El objetivo principal fue evaluar si la medición de fragilidad ayuda a predecir morbi-mortalidad y pérdida de calidad de vida en pacientes ancianos agudos. Los objetivos secundarios fueron describir la prevalencia de fragilidad de la muestra, evaluar el grado de correlación entre los diferentes índices y escalas de fragilidad entre ellos y con el Índice de Barthel modificado por Shah, comprobar la capacidad de los diferentes índices y escalas de fragilidad como predictoras de eventos adversos en la muestra general yen la muestra estratificada según grados de dependencia física y comparar la capacidad pronóstica de mortalidad del diagnóstico “enfermedad terminal ”frente a la fragilidad medida por los diferentes índices y escalas...
The main objective was to assess whether the measurement of frailty helps predict morbidity, mortality, and loss of quality of life in elderly acute patients.
