Abstract
RESUMEN: Posición de las lenguas alemana y española dentro del ámbito global y europeo atendiendo a diversos criterios: número de hablantes, países donde se habla, presencia en instituciones europeas y organismos internacionales, volumen de publicaciones y su estudio como lengua extranjera.
Análisis del mercado de la traducción global: la industria mundial por regiones según el volumen de traducción, las combinaciones lingüísticas y las áreas de especialidad más demandadas, así como el estado del par lingüístico en España.
ABSTRACT: Scope of the German and Spanish languages within the global and European sphere. Applied criteria: number of speakers, countries where they are spoken, presence in European institutions and international organisations, volume of publications and their study as a foreign language. Analysis of the global translation market: the world industry by region according to the volume of translation, the most demanded language pairs and speciality areas, and the state of the language pair in Spain.
