Abstract
Este trabajo aborda el desarrollo de un protocolo de conexión ODBC para el sistema deductivo de bases de datos relacionales DES, con el propósito de permitir una conexión estándar a este sistema desde distintos sistemas, aplicaciones y lenguajes. A lo largo de su desarrollo, el proyecto pasó por diversas iteraciones. Inicialmente, se llevó a cabo una extensa investigación y análisis sobre DES y el funcionamiento actual del conector ODBC, para diseñar una integración adecuada entre ambos sistemas.
Después de varias iteraciones, como la modificación del código fuente del conector ODBC/MySQL, el desarrollo de un conector desde cero y la creación de un conector mediante un SDK sin obtener resultados concluyentes, decidimos desarrollar un servidor simulado de MySQL para emular una conexión. Tras implementar esta solución, realizamos pruebas exhaustivas para garantizar su funcionamiento adecuado. Los resultados demostraron una eficiencia en la funcionalidad y un rendimiento óptimo en la integración, confirmando el éxito de la solución propuesta.
This work addresses the development of an ODBC connection protocol for the DES relational database deductive system, with the aim of allowing a standard connection to this system from various systems, applications, and languages. Throughout its development, the project underwent various iterations. Initially, an extensive research and analysis were conducted on DES and the current operation of the ODBC connector, to design a suitable integration between both systems. After several iterations, from modifying the source code of the ODBC/MySQL driver, developing a controller from scratch to doing it through an SDK, none of these being conclusive, our latest development was to create a simulated MySQL server to emulate a connector. Once this last iteration was implemented, exhaustive tests were carried out to ensure its proper functioning. The results of these tests demonstrated efficient functionality and optimal performance of the integration, thus validating the success of the proposed solution..
