Importancia del control de la diarrea en pacientes tratados con antineoplásicos orales

Abstract

En este trabajo se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica para conocer la importancia del manejo de la diarrea, en los pacientes tratados con determinados antineoplásicos orales (ANEO); así como la necesidad de que el farmacéutico de hospital proporcione información sobre cómo controlar dicho efecto adverso y conseguir un óptimo cumplimiento del tratamiento. Se han revisado la clasificación de las heces, los tipos de diarrea, sus consecuencias y complicaciones, el tratamiento de la diarrea; así como, la evaluación y la información realizadas a estos pacientes en el Servicio de Farmacia.

In the present work we have done a bibliographic review in order to know the importance of the treatment of diarrhoea, on the patients treated with oral antineoplastic drugs (ANEO); as well as the requirement of the hospital pharmaceutical providing them with the information about how to control this adverse effect, to achieve an optimal compliance of the treatment. The classification of the faeces have been examined , along with the different types of diarrhoea, their consequences and complications, treatment for the diarrhoea; as well as, the evaluation and information made to these patients in the pharmacy service.
