RESUMEN: Las imágenes en la Baja Edad Media desempeñaron un importante papel tan-to en la labor evangelizadora de la iglesia como en la finalidad propagandística ypublicitaria del poder político. En el presente artículo, analizamos ambos elemen-tos subrayando las largas pervivencias que tales usos han tenido en el tiempoABSTRACT: The images in the Late Middle Ages played an important part in the evangelizing of the church. The political power also used the image with propagandistic ends. In the present article, we analyze boths elements and underline the lingering continuity that such uses have had in the time.
