Las mujeres artistas de la performance al desarrollar sus carreras se encuentran con una serie de barreras que no les permiten desarrollarse profesionalmente. Existen una serie de categorías de opresión de género que son creadas por estructuras patriarcales/clasistas/racistas, que afectan a este colectivo. En este escenario algunas artistas han conseguido atravesar esas barreras y han podido denunciar a través de sus performances situaciones de invisibilidad, violencia de género y racismo. As women performance artists develop their professional careers, they encounter a series of barriers that prevent them from growing. There are a series of categories of gender oppression that are created by patriarchal/classist/racist structures that affect their careers. In this scenario, some artists have managed to overcome these obstacles and have been able to denounce through their performances situations of invisibility, gender violence and racism.
