Abstract
This research has focused on foreign language learning, given its value in today's globalized world. The importance of designing activities that align with students' characteristics has been emphasized, considering that play and movement are fundamental elements in their development. The study was conducted in two schools with third-grade students: one in Canada (sixteen students) and the other in an American school (fifty-eight students). A literature review was conducted on the evolution and acquisition of language learning, as well as on motor play and its educational possibilities. The study employed a quantitative and qualitative approach to thoroughly analyze the phenomenon under investigation. Instruments were used to evaluate and analyze data related to the socioeducational context and participants' characteristics. The results revealed that the inclusion of ludic-motor activities in the learning of Spanish as a foreign language had a positive impact on the development of language skills. Therefore, it was concluded that such activities hold significant pedagogical value. Additionally, specific characteristics of the games were found to enhance learning, motivation, and affect the level of difficulty. Based on the findings, a didactic guide was developed to support language teachers in achieving more effective results.
