Abstract
La ironía es un fenómeno pragmático en el que existe una contradicción entre lo que se dice y lo que se quiere comunicar y responde a una intencionalidad que requiere de una interpretación en un contexto determinado. El propósito de este trabajo es analizar el fenómeno irónico desde sus orígenes (la dialéctica socrática y la Retórica) y su aplicación a ELE, que no ha sido abordada de forma unívoca por los documentos MCER y PCIC, probablemente, por su complejidad semántica y cognitiva. El presente proyecto surge de las investigaciones realizadas sobre la ironía por el grupo GRIALE (Grupo de investigación sobre la ironía y el humor en español de la Universidad de Alicante), cuyos objetivos principales son el análisis pragmático de la ironía y su aplicación a ELE. Partiendo de estas consideraciones, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo encontrar técnicas, estrategias y actividades de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la ironía en ELE para una adecuada interpretación de la misma.

The aim of this study is to analyze the ironic phenomenon from its origins (Socratic dialects and rhetoric) and its application to Spanish as a foreign language has not been equally tackled by the CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages) and the PCIC (Cervantes Institute Curriculum Plan) documents, probably because of its semantic and cognitive complexity. This project rises from the research of irony by the GRIALE (Research Group of Irony and Spanish humor of the University of Alicante), which main purposes are the pragmatic analysis of irony and its application to Spanish as a foreign language. From these considerations on, the aim of this study is to find techniques, strategies and teaching-learning activities for a proper interpretation of irony in Spanish as a foreign language.
