Abstract
De la Expositio Psalmorum de Casiodoro solamente se han conservado tres manuscritos copiados en escritura visigótica entre los siglos IX al XI, todos ellos pertenecientes a la tradición hispánica peninsular. Sus orígenes geográficos se sitúan en la abadía de Gellone y los monasterios de san Pedro de Cardeña y san Millán de la Cogolla. En el presente trabajo se realiza un análisis comparativo de dichos testimonios en los ámbitos codicológico, textual y paleográfico, del que se deduce que se trata de testimonios independientes entre sí, desechando posibles vínculos ente ellos. Se aborda, asimismo, la posible relación establecida por la crítica entre los testimonios realizados en Burgos y La Rioja, a la vez que se revisan algunas de las afirmaciones aceptadas sobre la confección de códices durante la Alta Edad Media en ambos centros monásticos.

Of Cassiodorus' Expositio Psalmorum, only three manuscripts copied in Visigothic script between the 9th and 11th centuries have survived, all of them belonging to the peninsular Hispanic tradition. Their geographical origins are in the abbey of Gellone and the monasteries of San Pedro de Cardeña and San Millán de la Cogolla. In this work, a comparative analysis of these testimonies in the codicological, textual and palaeographic fields is carried out, from which it is deduced that they are independent of each other, ruling out possible links between them. It also addresses the possible relationship established by critics between the testimonies made in Burgos and La Rioja, while reviewing some of the accepted assertions about the production of manuscripts throughout the early Middle Ages in both monastic centres.
