Arte e inteligencia artificial : técnicas de aprendizaje automático en el arte generativo actual

Abstract

A lo largo de la presente investigación, Arte e inteligencia artificial: técnicas de aprendizaje automático en el arte generativo actual, se estudia la reciente corriente artística «AI Art (Artificial Intelligence Art)» entendida como el arte producido con inteligencia artificial (IA). El campo de la inteligencia artificial estudia los modelos de cómputo capaces de realizar actividades propias de los seres humanos desde mediados de s. XX, no obstante, no es hasta que se produce el desarrollo de los últimos avances en técnicas de aprendizaje automático (machine learning) – una rama de la IA encargada de estudiar y desarrollar algoritmos que permitan que las computadoras aprendan–, que comienza a tener verdadero auge y repercusión para su uso en el arte. Con la presente investigación se ha pretendido acercar el campo de estudio del aprendizaje automático al público desde una perspectiva artística, con la intención de explicar las técnicas que le son propias y así democratizar un arte que se originó en un campo técnico...Throughout the following research, Art and artificial intelligence: machine learning techniques in the contemporary generative art, the recent artistic trend «AI Art (Artificial Intelligence Art)» understood as the art produced by means of artificial intelligence (AI), will be studied. The field of artificial intelligence has been studying computational models that are able to carry on human-like activities since mid-20th century, nevertheless, it wouldn’t be until the development of the latest advancements in machine learning — a branch of the AI in charge of studying and developing algorithms that enable computers to learn —, when it experienced a legitimate upturn and started to have an impact in its use in the arts.
