Abstract
Las relaciones entre los representantes de las tres principales religiones monoteístas tuvieron que convivir en Tierra Santa- bajo el dominio de los musulmanes y en una estricta estructura social que dependía tanto de las relaciones entre Oriente y Occidente, como de la capacidad de adaptación y convivencia de los distintos grupos humanos- se ven reflejadas en los distintos relatos de viajeros españoles que acudían a Palestina llevados por la devoción, la curiosidad y el impulso conocer de primera mano los paisajes que habían conocido en las Sagradas Escrituras. Este trabajo de investigación pretende dar una amplia visión sobre el perfil de los distintos viajeros a Tierra Santa en los siglos XVI y XVII y las relaciones que establecieron y que han podido observar con sus correligionarios y con los representantes de los musulmanes y de los judíos. Dichas interacciones se basaron tanto en las ideas preconcebidas de los viajeros, como en sus características personales, las circunstancias históricas que se daban en el momento en el que viajaron y en los objetivos que perseguían con sus relatos...
The relations between the representatives of the three main monotheistic religions had to coexist in the Holy Land, under the domination of the Muslims and in a strict social structure that depended both on the relations between East and West, as well as on the ability of adaptation and coexistence of the different human groups, are reflected in the different accounts of Spanish travellers who came to Palestine out of devotion. curiosity and impulse to know first-hand the landscapes they had known in the Holy Scriptures.This research work aims to give a broad overview of the profile of the different travellers to the Holy Land in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the relationships they established and have been able to observe with their coreligionists and with the representatives of the Muslims and the Jews. These interactions were based on the preconceived ideas of the travellers, as well as on their personal characteristics, the historical circumstances that existed at the time they travelled and the objectives they pursued with their stories...
