Textos paralelos en las Instituciones de Justiniano y fuentes utilizadas por sus compiladores

Abstract

La observación de los textos paralelos, que fueron copiados literalmente en las Instituciones de Justiniano a partir de otras fuentes, permite identificar con precisión las obras de los juristas clásicos utilizadas por los dos compiladores y cómo se distribuyeron entre ellos. Se constata que cada compilador utilizó obras jurisprudenciales diferentes. Esto confirma la tesis de la división por libros frente a la división por materias. En los cinco apéndices de esta obra se recogen más de medio millar de textos paralelos, junto con las lecturas que los compiladores hicieron de cada uno de ellos.

The observation of the parallel texts, which were copied verbatim into Justinian's Institutions from other sources, makes it possible to identify precisely which works of the classical jurists were used by their two compilers and how they were distributed between them. Each compiler used different jurisprudential works. This confirms the thesis of division by books as opposed to division by subject. More than half a thousand parallel texts are collected in the five appendices of this work together with the compilers' readings of each of them.
