Abstract
This study aims to analyze the territorial distribution of reported violence against the LGBTQIA+ population in the city of São Paulo between 2015 and 2024, based on police records that explicitly identify LGBTQIAphobia, including data from before its legal equivalence to racism was established in 2022. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools and spatial analysis models are used to examine the relationship between violence and variables such as population density, land use, the presence of LGBTQIA+ sociability territories, as well as a per capita analysis that helps nuance the results and reveal relative patterns not always visible in absolute numbers. While the findings indicate certain territorial concentrations of violence in areas with greater LGBTQIA+ visibility, they do not allow for definitive causal conclusions. The study seeks to contribute to the debate and the development of institutional strategies for information and response that take into account the territorial and intersectional differences present in the urban context.
