Abstract
Federico García Lorca asume para su obra dramática la dinámica mística de la oscuridad luminosa de la tradición espiritual occidental, con la que pretende exponer la experiencia del amor imposible desde una relectura laica del encuentro místico. A lo largo de la investigación trataremos de verificar esta hipótesis. Para lograrlo, partimos del estudio panorámico del concepto de «oscuridad» desde las perspectivas filológica y teológica, para adentrarnos posteriormente en una lectura diacrónica de su impacto en la historia occidental. Descubriremos que está presente como un verdadero protosímbolo que se manifiesta a través de una tensión constante entre la hermenéutica positiva y la hermenéutica negativa. Federico García Lorca applies to his dramatic work the mystical dynamics of the luminousdarkness in the Western spiritual tradition with which he tries to show the experience ofimpossible love from a secular rereading of the mystical union.
