Abstract
La presente tesis de doctorado tiene como objetivo el estudio de las puertas de acceso a los infiernos o, por decirlo mejor, los diversos canales de comunicación arquitectónicos que permitían al mundo de los muertos entrar en comunicación con el de los vivos y viceversa. Este estudio está basado en el análisis de los textos, mayoritariamente en lengua original y su traducción, interpretados a la luz de la crítica filológica y la lingüística indoeuropea, aunque también se incluyen los testimonios arqueológicos, pinturas cerámicas y pinturas parietales de las tumbas y esculturas, de modo que estos tipos de fuentes entran en diálogo entre sí, valorándose y complementándose bajo la mirada de los estudios de religión antigua...
This doctoral thesis aims to study the Doors of Inferos or, to be more exactly, to examine those architectural structures which permit the communication between the Living and the Dead, creating a channel between the two worlds. To achieve our purpose both written sources and archeological materials werean alyzed. All the text are presented in their original language and also translated.They are examined with the philological method and under the indo-european linguistic perspective studies. The Scholarships have been fascinated by the post mortem men’s destiny in Classical World since the 19th century: they tried to understand if the concept of “soul” and “eternal life” could be a part of the Greek and Roman religious beliefs and, if it was true, how and when this after-life was spent...
