Abstract
Desde que el "yaoi" llegara a los medios de comunicación de masas en el año 2000, su popularidad ha ido creciendo gradualmente hasta lo que podría considerarse un auge internacional, experimentando en la actualidad un rápido proceso de publicación en otras lenguas. El objeto de este trabajo es analizar dicho fenómeno, no desde un punto de vista antropológico como se ha venido haciendo, sino literario y traductológico.
Since 2000, when "yaoi" reached the mass media, the popularity of the genre has continued to gradually increase until what could be considered an international peak, experiencing at present a fast process of serialization in other languages. The object of this paper is to analyse this phenomenon, not from an anthropological approach as has been the case, but from the perspectives of literary and translation studies.
