Abstract
En este trabajo se analiza la contribución de las mujeres al desarrollo rural a través del cooperativismo. Para ello, se estudia el desarrollo de un grupo de cooperativas seleccionadas por su perfil femenino. Los datos proceden de entrevistas realizadas a mujeres que asumen un papel clave en las entidades indicadas, todas ellas ubicadas en la provincia de Teruel. Se trata de obtener información de las cooperativas desde una perspectiva histórica, sobre su evolución y sobre la percepción de las mujeres respecto a su futuro, justo en el periodo identificado como de inicio de crisis económica. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar si el cooperativismo es una herramienta de desarrollo que podría evitar la despoblación de los entornos rurales, fomentar el progreso a través del empleo femenino y favorecer la sostenibilidad de las zonas deprimidas.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the contribution of women to rural development through cooperativism.
