Representaciones del poder en ámbitos funerarios de Oretania Septentrional.

Abstract

La necrópolis del Toro (Alcubillas), situada en la provincia de Ciudad Real, es un lugar funerario de dilatado uso que revela diferentes formatos de manifestaciones del poder en Oretania septentrional. Se presenta una selección de los principales materiales encontrados en este lugar, durante el proceso de excavación arqueológica de las tumbas y túmulos detectados. Asimismo, se expone la Sala de los Moros (Argamasilla de Calatrava), una cámara principesca ubicada al norte de Sierra Morena. Los datos expuestos permitirán avanzar en el conocimiento de las necrópolis y rituales funerarios de esta etnia prerromana, un aspecto mal conocido hasta ahora en este territorio. En un contexto de notable influencia púnica, las élites políticas oretanas monumentalizaron un territorio metalífero y de gran potencial agropecuario como símbolo de su poder.

The necropolis of the Bull (Alcubillas), located in the province of Ciudad Real-Spain, is a funerary site with used for a long time that reveal different formats of manifestations of power in northern Oretania. It is presented a selection of the main materials found in this necropolis during the archaeological excavation process of the tombs and burial mounds detected. Likewise, the Sala de los Moros (Argamasilla de Calatrava), a princely chamber located north of Sierra Morena, is documented and interpreted. The exposed data will allow to advance in the knowledge of the necropolis and funerary rituals of this pre-Roman ethnicity, an aspect that has been poorly known until now south of the Iberian Plateau. In a context of notable Punic influence, the Oretan political elites monumentalized a territory with metals and great agricultural potential as a symbol of their power.
