Abstract
La creciente consideración de la investigación y el desarrollo tecnológico en campos como la energía y los nuevos materiales avanzados, junto con el medio ambiente y la salud, crea un gran interés en la integración de la iluminación natural en la arquitectura. Este libro abarca una amplia gama de estudios de técnicas y análisis de diseño de sistemas de guía óptica para el diseño de iluminación arquitectónica, proporcionando una estimación cuantitativa de la influencia de numerosos factores que afectan el transporte de luz en guías de luz huecas para contribuir a la predicción del rendimiento. Además, se presenta un análisis detallado de la guía de luz en sistemas ópticos como guías prismáticas huecas, junto con el desarrollo de nuevos modelos matemáticos y metodologías que facilitan la predicción del flujo luminoso transportado y la eficiencia de los sistemas.
The increasing consideration of research and technological development in fields such as energy and new advanced materials, along with the environment and health creates great interest regarding the integration of natural lighting in the architecture. This book covers a wide range of study of techniques and design analysis of optical guide systems for architectural lighting design providing a quantitative estimation of the influence of numerous factors that affect the transport of light in hollow light guides in order to contribute to the prediction of performance. Furthermore, it is presented a detailed analysis of guided of light in optical systems such as hollow prismatic guides together with the development of new mathematical models and methodologies that facilitate the prediction of transported luminous flux and efficiency of systems.
