Abstract
Los elementos heráldicos son una fuente muy importante para la identificación y datación
de documentos oficiales, como las monedas o los sellos, o bien de piezas artísticas, ya sean sepulcros, monumentos, mobiliario, ropas, etc. Pero a veces tenemos problemas de identificación que requieren un estudio más preciso, como ocurre en el caso del bordado heráldico atribuido a María de Padilla que se encuentra en el Museo Textil de Tarrasa y cuyo origen está en el monasterio de Santa Clara de Astudillo. En este trabajo vamos a poner en duda las identificaciones tradicionales de los escudos que aparecen en él y vamos a proponer nuevas atribuciones mediante estudios de heráldica comparada.
Heraldic elements are a very important source for the identification and dating of official documents, such as coins or seals, or of artistic pieces, be they tombs, monuments, furniture, clothing, etc. But sometimes we have identification problems that require a more precise study, as in the case of the heraldic embroidery attributed to María de Padilla that is in the Textile Museum of Tarrasa and whose origin is in the monastery of Santa Clara de Astudillo. In this work we are going to question the traditional identifications of the shields that appear in it and we are going to propose new attributions through comparative heraldry studies
