Abstract

Thus, the central aim of this research is to defend, from all these spheres, the interconnections that arise from Generational Anthologies and the New Narrative in Argentina and Spain (2005-2013) as a functional system in which literary generations and new narratives from both territories are established. The main corpus consists of two Argentine anthologies: La joven guardia, compiled by Maximiliano Tomas for Norma in 2005, and Panorama interZona, selected by Elsa Drucaroff for interZona in 2012; and three Spanish ones: Mutantes, a compilation by Juan Francisco Ferré and Julio Ortega for Berenice published in 2007, Última temporada, a selection by Alberto Olmos for Lengua de Trapo published in 2013, and Bajo treinta, compiled by Juan Gómez Bárcena for Salto de Página in 2013. The texts and prologues serve as a representative sample for analyzing literature as a product that occurs within society, interwoven with economic, political, and cultural conditions. Hence, the corpus is approached based on its functions in the formation of literary generations, in operations and positions within the publishing industry, and in the approach to a cultural poetics. Consequently, the thesis is divided into a three-part structure: literary generations, the publishing market, and hermeneutics...
