Abstract
RESUMEN: En este trabajo se ofrece una aportación a la labor de la lexicografía histórica del español. A través de diversos materiales, corpus y diccionarios de la lengua española y de lenguas extranjeras, se rastrea el origen e historia de la palabra «fotomatón» desde el inglés, pasando por el francés y, finalmente, en el español.
ABSTRACT: In this paper we contribute to historical lexicography of Spanish. Through several resources, corpus and dictionaries of Spanish and other foreign languages, we trace the origins and history of the word "fotomaton" from English to Spanish, via French.
