Abstract
A sociedade contemporânea impõe novos desafios e oportunidades para os profissionais envolvidos na formação do profissional da informação, bem como para o próprio profissional atuar nesse contexto. Destacam-se as tecnologias de informação e comunicação presentes no dia a dia da sociedade, cujos impactos são significativos para a formação e a atuação do profissional da informação. Os docentes do campo da Ciência da Informação necessitam estar mais bem preparados para explorarem recursos tecnológicos de diferentes naturezas, visando propiciar a formação adequada às demandas sociais contemporâneas. Preparar profissionais competentes para atuar na Era Digital é essencial e urgente, de modo que possam atuar na diversidade e complexidade. Também o profissional da informação deve se conscientizar da importância da aprendizagem ao longo da vida, que se constitui em elemento fundamental para a atualização profissional, propiciando competências e habilidades necessárias para a atuação eficiente. É necessário que o profissional da informação tenha a percepção de que vivenciamos um contexto híbrido que engloba do físico ao digital, ou seja, multiplicidade de mídias, suportes e formatos informacionais. Nessa perspectiva, o profissional da informação precisa inovar e propiciar à sociedade novos serviços e produtos informacionais, visando o desenvolvimento social e humano e, assim, contribuindo significativamente para o avanço da sociedade, além de reforçar a identidade e o reconhecimento profissional por essa sociedade. A formação profissional deve enfocar os objetivos que o projeto político pedagógico de cada curso de graduação propõe, uma vez que visa a formação de um profissional completo. A discussão que se apresenta é fruto de análise de bibliografia selecionada no intuito de alcançar o objetivo central deste estudo, que consiste em refletir sobre a formação e a atuação do profissional da informação, assim como investigar modelos de aprendizagem compatíveis com uma formação voltada para o mercado atual, que oferece e demanda inovações constantes.
Contemporary society imposes new challenges and opportunities for professionals involved in the formation of information professional, as well as for own professional work in this context. We highlight the information and communication technologies present in everyday life of society, whose impacts are significant for the formation and the performance of the information professional. The professors of Information Science field need to be better prepared to explore technological resources of different kinds, in order to provide adequate training to contemporary social demands. Prepare competent professionals to work in the Digital Age is essential and urgent, so that they can work in diversity and complexity. In addition, the information professional should be aware of the importance of learning throughout life, which constitutes a fundamental element for professional development, providing expertise and skills necessary for efficient work. It is necessary that the information professional have the perception that we experience a hybrid context that encompasses the physical to the digital, that is, multiplicity of media, supports and informational formats. From this perspective, the professional information needs to innovate and provide new products and services to Information Society targeting the social and human development and thus contributes significantly to the advancement of society, and reinforce the identity and professional recognition by that company. The professional education should focus on the objectives that the political pedagogical project of each undergraduate program as it aims to train a complete professional. The discussion presented is literature analysis result selected in order to achieve the main objective of this study, which is to focus on the education and the performance of the information professional, as well as investigate compatible learning models with a focused training for current market offering and demand constant innovation.
