Abstract
IACI (v.0.2) is the first version (0) of the Iberian Actuarial Climate Index, now
completed in this new version (0.2) to all the Spanish provinces and
autonomous regions from 1961 to 2023. It has been developed at Universidad
Complutense de Madrid, in the Department of Actuarial and Financial
Economics & Statistics. IACI (v.0.2) has been built following the guidelines
that can be found in Zhou, N., Vilar-Zanón, J. L., Garrido, J., & Martínez, A. J.
H. (2023, December). On the definition of an actuarial climate index for the
Iberian Peninsula. In Anales del Instituto de Actuarios Españoles (No. 29, pp.

TIME EXTENSION:
*From 1961 to 2023 PERIODS:
*Monthly: January to December.
*Seasonal: Seasons are the following -Q1 (DEC, JAN, FEB), -Q2 (MAR, APR,
MAY), -Q3 (JUN, JUL, AUG), - Q4 (SEP, OCT, NOV).
GEOGRAPHICAL EXTENSION:
*Iberian Peninsula (excluding the Canary and Balearic Islands, and the
autonomous African cities of Ceuta and Melilla)
*The index particularized to the following geographical areas:
-Spain (Except the Canary and Balearic Islands and the autonomous African
cities of Ceuta and Melilla).
-Portugal (continental) .
-Andorra.
-Spanish provinces: All the Spanish provinces are now included in the IACI
(except the Canary and Balearic Islands).
-Spanish Autonomous Regions: All except the Canary and Balearic Islands,
and the autonomous African cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
