Abstract
I want to introduce the concept of "Hygiene-politics" (from Hygeia, "health") into the academic discussion on the forms of domination and types of power to categorize the totalitarian threat that lies behind the political kind of control over the population based on the collective experience of fear and paranoia, which has begun to exert in the times of the global pandemic of COVID-19. In the 21st century, there are not only forms of domination that operate over the body based on hygienic practices and beliefs associated with some notion of health, but also a form of a new totalitarian global politic can be developed in which health is the ultimate goal of civitas.
