Abstract
The Ritter reaction of enantiopure 2-(1-aminoalkyl)aziridines with different nitriles afford enantiopure tetrasubstituted imidazolines . The opening of the aziridine ring takes place with total regio- and stereoselectivity. A mechanism to explain the described addition reaction is proposed.
