The strike on global warming and its effects over Spain through the NIECP

Abstract

El objetivo global del presente trabajo de fin de grado es el análisis del recorrido que ha tenido la lucha contra el cambio climático, (provocado en gran medida por las emisiones de efecto invernadero) y la perspectiva que se le ha otorgado a este problema a nivel mundial. En concreto, me centraré en ver qué políticas se han adoptado desde Europa en esta materia, (con la conocida como “Agenda Verde Europea”, como una de las políticas prioritarias de la UE hoy en día) para finalmente proceder al desglose y estudio de las medidas que se van a adoptar desde España con el fin de afrontar este problema, y que tienen al Plan Nacional del Clima Integrado como su principal baluarte. Con ello, analizaremos en qué consiste el indicado plan, los motivos para su desarrollo (puesto que viene impuesto e integrado por las distintas políticas adoptadas desde la Unión Europea), junto con los correspondientes efectos (tanto a nivel político como económico) que su aplicación tendrá sobre España y su modelo productivo.

The overall goal of this paper is the analysis of the scheme that the global strike against global warming has adopted in recent years, (a problem mainly caused due to the emission of greenhouse gases & CO2) and the study of the different policies that have been adopted to tackle this problem. Following this objective, I will specifically focus on the different policies that have been adopted in Europe to face this struggle, (with the “European Green Deal” as one of the most pressing policies of the European Union nowadays), to finally concentrate on the study and analysis of the Spanish scenario which has on its National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan the main key to enact a significant change to this situation and for its current productive system. Furthermore, we will explain and expose more deeply, on what this plan does consist, the different reasons for its adoption, its corresponding effects (from a political and economic point of view) and the difference it pretends to mean for the Spanish society.
