Abstract
Introducción: La enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) ocasiona grandes problemas y cambios a nivel físico, psicológico y social en las personas que la padecen. El gran impacto sobre la calidad de vida, unido a la presencia de trastornos emocionales, favorecen la aparición de síntomas en estos pacientes en mayor proporción que en la población general. Objetivos: Evaluar las relaciones existentes entre el perfil emocional delos pacientes en hemodiálisis y la aparición de sintomatología asociada. Material y métodos: Estudio descriptivo transversal multicéntrico llevado a cabo con pacientes con ERC en tratamiento de hemodiálisis pertenecientes a centros de la Fundación Renal Íñigo Álvarez de Toledo de la Comunidad de Madrid. Se emplearon dos escalas de medida: una para la valoración del “perfil emocional” (Escala EVEA) y otra para la valoración de la “sintomatología”(Escala POS-S Renal). Introduction: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) causes great problems and changes at the physical, psychological and social levels in people who suffer from it. The great impact on the quality of life, together with the presence of emotional disorders, favors the appearance of symptoms in these patients in a greater proportion than in the general population. Objectives: To evaluate the relationship between the emotional profile of hemodialysis patients and the appearance of associated symptoms. Material and methods: Multicenter cross-sectional descriptive study carried out with CKD patients on hemodialysis treatment belonging to the Fundación Renal Íñigo Álvarez de Toledo centers in the Community of Madrid.
