Sobre la interpretación del concepto orteguiano de "vocación"

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende poner en cuestión algunas interpretaciones generalizadas en torno a la ética de la vocación de Ortega y Gasset. Así, se expondrán aquellos puntos de su obra que permitan una adecuada comprensión del concepto, para, en primer lugar, cuestionar algunas exégesis que se han hecho sobre su filosofía; y con objeto, en segundo lugar, de apoyar ciertas posturas en algunos debates, como la posibilidad de la existencia, en el marco teórico orteguiano, de vocaciones perversas; o la imposible equivalencia entre autenticidad y bondad.The aim of this paper is to discuss some interpretations about the “ethics of vocation” in Ortega y Gasset's philosophy. So, essential points of view in Ortega´s works will be explained to get an accurate comprehension of the concept “vocation”. Afterwards some interpretations which were done by critics will be questioned. Finally, this paper will support some points of view on different discussions as the posibility of perverse-vocation existence in the orteguian view of ethics or a nonequivalency between autenticity and goodness.
