Abstract
En la mayoría de los casos el objetivo de la investigación médica no se centra únicamente en prolongar el tiempo de vidadel paciente, sino en mejorar la calidad del mismo. El Plasma Rico en Factores de Crecimiento (Plasma Rich in GrowthFactors) es una técnica novedosa y relativamente reciente aplicable a la reparación tisular. Consiste en un sencillo sistema para la obtención de proteínas plaquetarias y plasmáticas autólogas a partir de una mues-tra de sangre del paciente. En el ámbito de la podología la aplicación de PRGF permite mejorar la evolución de pacien-tes con necesidades regenerativas titulares en miembros inferiores tales como: acelerar la osificación en postoperatorios,acortar el tiempo de resolución en úlceras diabéticas o mejorar la cicatrización entre otras muchas. Diversos estudios sobre la aplicación de Factores de Crecimiento han demostrado excelentes resultados en distintas espe-cialidades médicas entre las que se encuentra la podología, por tanto se considera una técnica de alta efectividad e inte-rés clínico para su aportación a la comunidad científica.

Inmost of the cases the objective of the medical research it is not centered solely in prolonging the time of life of thepatient, but in improving the quality of he himself. Rich Plasma in Growth Factors is a novel and relatively recent tech-nique applicable to the tissue repair. It consists of a simple system for the platelets proteins obtaining from a blood sam-ple of the patient. In the scope of the podiatry, the application of PRGF allows to improve the evolution of patients withtitular regenerative necessities in the foot and lower limb such as: to accelerate the osseous consolidation in the postope-rative period, to shorten the time of resolution in diabetic ulcers or to improve the healing among other many. Diversestudies on the application of Factors of Growth have demonstrated excellent results in different medical specialties bet-ween which is the podiatry, therefore considers a technique of high effectiveness and clinical interest for their contribu-tion to the scientific community.
