Abstract
Drug targeting processes enable the release of the drug once the carrier is in biophase. Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles can be delivered to cancer tissues by means of an external magnetic field. Due to their properties hyperthermia effect can take place, causing the selective destruction of cancer cells. As a result, adverse effects decrease while the efficacy of the anticancer treatment increases.
