Esclerosis múltiple

Abstract

Para la realización del estudio, se seleccionaron a todos los pacientes con Esclerosis Múltiple (E.M.) tratados en el Hospital Infanta Sofía durante el año 2014. Mediante la utilización de programas informáticos pertenecientes al hospital, se pudo comprobar que la E.M. es una enfermedad predominante en adultos jóvenes, y mayoritariamente en mujeres. Asimismo se ha analizado la EDSS a lo largo de la enfermedad, pudiéndose observar mejoría o deterioro, así como el porcentaje de fracasos en los tratamientos empleados.

For this study, we selected all patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) that were treated at the Infanta Sofia Hospital during 2014. With some computer programs from the hospital, we found that MS is predominantly a disease of young adults, mostly women. Also it has been analyzed the EDSS along the disease, and improvement or deterioration could be observed. Furthermore we could see the percentage of failures in the treatments that were used at the hospital.
