Abstract
This dissertation addresses a research on children's theater in Bogota, Colombia, with the aim of exploring the multiple factors involved in the evolution of this genre during the first two decades of the twenty-first century. For this, some objectives were proposed: first, to historiographically record the stages that children's theater has experienced in Bogota from its beginnings until the end of the twentieth century; second, to analyze Bogota's children's theater production during the first two decades of the twenty-first century, considering the new incidence factors adapted from the theatrical cartography proposed by Dubatti (2008); and finally, to state the scopes and limitations faced by children's theater, looking forward to a prospective research. For a deep and comprehensive approach to the phenomenon of children's theater in Bogota, the methodological framework employs a qualitative approach, the hermeneutic interpretative paradigm and the grounded theory method. The documentary analysis methodology, in combination with action coding techniques, sets a foundation for an emerging theory that may favor the historical and cultural understanding of children's theater in the context of Bogota. This approach enables the identification of its values, meanings and transformations experienced by this type of theater over time...
