Abstract
A recent study (2022) by the American Historical Association (AHA) shows that two out of three Americans believe that History is just names and dates relative to the past. In the rest of the world the opinion is not very different, so it is important to find alternative means for teaching History, making it much more attractive to students. At present there is a wide variety of communication and entertainment media (cinema, TV, video games, etc.) that transmit historical or pseudo-historical knowledge outside the school, that is, without supervision of a historian. It isn´t possible to control that flow of information, but nor is it necessary. It is more important, to take advantage of this influence for our benefit, using the existing means to generate a guided learning that is capable of stimulating their interest.
