Abstract
Pinterest, the online community where I place my object of study, allows its members to create audio – visual collections from images (fixed or dynamic), videos, audios, graphics, and even texts found in the internet universe. The study of the <<pin>> (the basic audio – visual unit with which these collections are created and which is confused with a digital photo) is a small hypermedial web made up of contents in different kinds of formats with great potential for artistic education and the development of digital competences. The pin, and therefore, Pinterest, can become significant tools for artists and educators, fostering the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in teaching and learning processes.
