Así pues, se hace necesaria y fundamental la realización de una planificación según sus objetivos. El Protocolo transmite en sus actos las normas, tradiciones y costumbres a través de sus técnicas de organización. Se coordinan y planifican con antelación siguiendo los procedimientos legislativos estipulados de autoprotección, seguridad y comunicación en el pre, durante y post evento. Su organización se anticipa en el tiempo para poder ser diseñado acorde a las necesidades de Comunicación y Protocolo pero también a las correspondientes en Seguridad. La consecuencia clara de una coordinación adecuada y eficaz entre Protocolo institucional y planificación de la Seguridad, es la confianza de los públicos en la imagen que se proyecta. Durante los eventos pueden surgir problemas inesperados y situaciones comprometidas, las cuales, se han de afrontar con claridad y transparencia.
