El ius Latii y la integración jurídica de Occidente. Latinización vs. romanización

Abstract

En base a los problemas de interpretación histórica que generan las comunidades de derecho latino, y apoyados en el análisis onomástico de la población residente en dichas comunidades, proponemos la idoneidad del empleo del término latinización, frente al tradicional concepto de romanización, para referirnos al proceso de integración jurídica de las poblaciones indígenas de Occidente en época romana.Considering the problems of historical interpretation that generate the communities of Latin right, and drawing on the onomastic analysis of the resident population in those communities, we propose the suitability of the employment of the term latinization, as opposed to the traditional concept of romanization, to refer to the process of juridical integration of indigenous populations in the Western Roman Empire.
