Servidor de Agentes: Arquitectura IMPACT

Abstract

Este proyecto consiste en la creación de un servidor que permita registrar agentes y facilitar la comunicación entre ellos. Un agente es un proceso que ofrece unos determinados servicios(tareas) y que pueden ser utilizados por otros agentes. Estos procesos están ejecutándose indefinidamente en algún computador conectado a la red. El servidor permite a todos aquellos agentes que estén registrados en él, obtener información sobre otros agentes registrados (URLs, servicios que se ofrecen, descripciones, etc). La idea es que un agente pueda publicar sus servicios en algo parecido a las "Páginas Amarillas" de tal manera que cuando otro agente necesite realizar un determinado trabajo, pueda buscar en el servidor algún otro agente que sea capaz de hacerlo por él. El servidor recoge la información sobre todos estos servicios y se la ofrece a los agentes registrados para que puedan disponer de ella en el momento en el que la necesiten. Además del servidor de agentes, se ha implementado una interfaz gráfica para que un programador pueda trabajar con el servidor con mayor facilidad y así poder elaborar mejor sus sistemas de agentes.

This project consists of the creation of a server who allows to register agents and provide communications among them. An agent is a process that offers certain services (tasks) and that can be used by other agents. These processes are being executed indefinitely in some computer connected to the network. The server allows all those agents who are registered in him, to obtain data of other registered agents (URLs, services which they offer, descriptions, etc). The idea is that an agent can publish his services in something similar to the "Yellow Pages" in such a way that when another agent needs to make a certain work, he can look for in the server some other agent who is able to do it by him. The server collects information on all these services and is offered it to the registered agents so that they can have her at the moment at which they need it. In addition to the server of agents, a graphical interface has been implemented so that a programmer can work with the server with facility and in this way to be able to elaborate better its agent systems.
