Construcción simbólica de la identidad de la mujer peruana a través del cabello.

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación explora la construcción de la identidad de la mujer peruana a través del cabello. Desde el punto de vista de las teorías feministas, se busca descifrar la trama simbólica que hay detrás del cabello de la mujer indígena andina. Al considerar al cabello como una parte encarnada del cuerpo, se ha profundizado en investigar además sobre el cuerpo de mujeres indígenas de la sierra. El objeto de estudio ha sido tratado, durante toda la investigación, contraponiendo el punto de vista de las teorías hegemónicas occidentales feministas al de los discursos postcolonialistas. Sin embargo, se ha hecho hincapié en lo necesario que es para los estudios feministas peruanos, generar su propia visión que se adecúe a la historia y contexto del país. Finalmente, a través del análisis de las prácticas artísticas hechas por mujeres, y de las prácticas desarrolladas para esta investigación, se ha buscado incidir en cómo este tema es recurrente en la exploración del arte con inclinación feminista. Así como también, por medio de este trabajo, se busca, de alguna forma, reivindicar el concepto de feminidad en las mujeres.

The present research explores the construction of the identity of the Peruvian women through hair. From the point of view of the feminist theories, it is sought to decipher the symbolic weft that exists behind Anden indigenous woman’s hair. When considering hair as a embodied part of the body, it has also deepened in researching of the body of the indigenous woman of the sierra. The object of this study has been treated, throughout of the research, facing the point of view of the feminist hegemonic Western theories against postcolonialism discourses. However, the emphasis has been put in how necessary is for the Peruvian feminists researches, to generate its own vision that fits to the history and context of the country. Finally, through the analysis of the artistic practises made by woman, and the practises developed for this research, we have have sought to influence how this theme is a recurrent exploration of the art with feminist inclination. As well as, through this research, seeks, in some way, to reivindicate the concept of femininity in women.
